There’s a fire that lives in your body.
Not a raging wildfire.
Not a match waiting to burn out.
But a steady, rooted heat—the kind that fuels your confidence, your choices, and your sense of self.
That fire lives in your solar plexus chakra ...right in the upper belly, just above the navel. And if your healing journey has ever made you question who you are, what you deserve, or whether you can trust yourself... this is the chakra to get familiar with.

In energy work, the solar plexus (or Manipura in Sanskrit) is your third chakra. It governs personal power, confidence, self-worth, autonomy, and the ability to take action. It’s the “I can” center, the part of you that believes in your ability to make things happen.
But here’s what most folks don’t talk about:
That belief doesn’t just show up on its own. It’s shaped early. Like, real early.
Your solar plexus starts developing between ages 7–12 . This is when kids begin to separate from their caregivers' identity and explore who they are as individuals.
So think about it:
Were you given space to express yourself freely?
Did the adults in your life encourage independence or try to control you?
Were your choices respected—or constantly questioned?
Were you taught to trust your gut—or ignore it?
This chakra is deeply impacted by how you were raised. If your confidence was constantly undermined, if you were punished for speaking up, if you had to become hyper-independent too soon, your solar plexus may have been shaped more by survival than by self-worth.
And even if you’ve done some healing work... that doesn’t mean this area is fully aligned. Many of us are still learning how to stop dimming our light to feel safe.
Underactive (blocked):
Struggling to make decisions
Low self-esteem or self-doubt
Feeling like you don’t know who you are
Avoiding conflict, over-apologizing, or staying silent
Procrastination, lack of motivation
Overactive (excess energy):
Need to control everything and everyone
Overworking to prove worth
Quick to anger, irritability
Competitive to the point of burnout
Feeling responsible for everyone’s outcomes
Sound familiar? It’s okay. This is information, not judgment.
You cannot fully embody your healing if you don’t believe in your own power.
That’s a hard truth.
You can journal every morning, go to therapy, buy all the crystals, and still find yourself second-guessing your intuition or staying small in situations that ask you to rise.
Your solar plexus is what helps you own your growth . It’s the part that says:“I’m not perfect, but I’m powerful.”
“I deserve to speak up.”
“I trust myself, even when it’s uncomfortable.”
Without a strong solar plexus, you may know you deserve more—but not actually take the steps to claim it.
Here’s the thing: balance doesn’t come from “fixing” yourself. It comes from building a relationship with yourself that feels safe and sovereign. A few ways to start:
Your solar plexus loves movement. Especially core-focused movements like yoga twists, pilates, belly dancing, walking with purpose, or anything that connects you to your power center.
Your gut and solar plexus are connected—emotionally and energetically. Try drinking Flow Tea regularly to soothe inflammation, calm anxious energy, and reconnect with your center.
Sip it while journaling. Sip it before a decision. Sip it to remind yourself you don’t have to force, you can flow.
Start small. Say no to things that drain you. Speak up when something doesn’t feel right. Each time you honor yourself, your solar plexus gets stronger.
Write out 5 “I am” statements rooted in power. Not perfection—power.
Ex:
I am worthy of being seen and heard.
I am learning to trust myself.
I am powerful in my softness.
Say them daily. Out loud. Like you mean it.
Bring in some vibrational backup. These crystals support clarity, confidence, and personal power:
The solar plexus is ruled by the element of fire And while that might sound intense, this isn’t about constant hustle or always being “on.”
It’s about inner heat : the energy that fuels your purpose, your boundaries, and your self-trust.
When your fire is healthy:
You have energy and direction
You trust your gut
You move through fear, even when it’s uncomfortable
When your fire is out of balance:
You feel burned out, overwhelmed, or passive
You overextend or underperform
You lose the sense that your life is yours
The healing comes in tending that fire, not trying to make it roar, but making sure it never dies out.
This chakra isn’t about being the loudest in the room. It’s about being rooted in your truth .
It’s about leading yourself—lovingly, boldly, imperfectly.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to believe you’re worth figuring it out for.
And you are.
